April 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm CESTFree
The Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce invites the AICZ to join them:
David Hoffman, Senior Vice President, Asia,
The Conference Board
Introduction by Rainer Schultheis, EVP & Managing Director, International, The Conference Board
Moderation by Martin Naville, CEO, Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce
This session will review the Biden policy agenda for China and Asia, and identify the key areas of similarity and difference from the Trump administration. Given the preeminence of “Outcompeting” China in the Biden administration’s stated foreign policy agenda, the talk will drill down into key expectations for and the specific elements of “the (new) China strategy”. The talk will assess how the new measures and means are likely to impact the US-China and broader Sino-western relationship across trade and national security dimensions, and how this could influence the geopolitical risk set for American and European multinational companies operating in China or engaging Chinese firms in home markets. Discussion with members will assess how new US policies and approaches could impact the business environment for western MNCs in China in both the near- and medium-term.
