John Moetteli

membership & Community

Since 1997, I’ve called Switzerland home—first in Geneva and now in Arbon, where I live with my wife, Novella, and our children. As a history and castle enthusiast, the area is a dream. I’m an IP attorney helping entrepreneurs protect their innovations and brands across the US, EU, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. With a background in engineering, business, and law, I’ve worked at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, with work featured on the Discovery Channel, and currently teach IP law at ZHAW. A long-time member of AIC Geneva and AICZ, I enjoy being part of this vibrant international community. I speak English, French, and German—and hope to add Italian soon!

Already then, he was active in the Club. He has 2 children and has worked in IT at Credit Suisse for the last 16 years.  Andrew likes hiking, biking, photography and used to coach a women’s softball team here in Zurich.

Standing Committee 2026

Geneviève Cox

Standing Committee member

Geneviève has been living in Zurich for almost 20 years. She is French but she also speaks English, German, Swedish and some Spanish and Italian. Obviously, she loves anything that has to do with languages, but also art and communication in general. Being French, her idea of bliss is to go see a movie,  a play or an exhibition with friends and discuss it for hours in a restaurant or a café.

She has worked as an actress, a chorist, a language teacher and lately as a translator. She would now like to devote herself to her first passions: theatre and opera singing, which she has pursued all this time.

Geneviève loves Americans for their openness and their easy contact. At the AICZ, she has already met a lot of exciting people and taken part in great events. She is thrilled to start getting more involved as a standing Committee member.

Laura Groves

Standing Committee member

Laura Groves studied art history in Montreal and London, working in art publishing in London and as Director of Acquisitions at a San Francisco art gallery before training as a pilot in California and flying for regional and major US airlines. She is also a certified graphic designer and has edited a print magazine here in Zurich. Laura grew up in the Boston area and played fife in a fife and drum corps for several years. In addition to Canada and the UK, Laura has also lived in Portugal and France; she moved to Zurich over 10 years ago with her husband. She enjoys many outdoor sports and has participated in the Greifenseelauf and the Stadtzürcher Seeüberquerung.

AICZ Club Coordinator

Susan Suter

AICZ Club Coordinator

Susan Suter spent her childhood between Nashville, TN in the USA and Zurich. After completing her university studies in business administration and languages in the U.S., she moved back to Zurich, where she worked as an executive assistant in banking, air freight, and for a headhunting firm. For over 27 years, she has worked as an office manager at Zurich Insurance. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, and volunteering at her local thrift shop.
