Art Lecture and Apéro Riche, October 3, 2024
October 3 @ 7:15 pm - 9:00 pm CEST
Our next art lecture in our series is on Edvard Munch, the fascinating Norwegian painter from the turn of the 20th century, to be held on Thursday, October 3 at 19:15. This time the American Women’s Club of Zurich will also participate. It will be held through the generous support of the law offices of MME at Zollstrasse 62, 8005 Zurich…a 5 minute walk from the main station.
Once again, the lecturer will be Leila Mebert. Leila has a degree in classical literature and archaeology, which she uses to provide a unique and unexpected insight into her subject. She will take us on a journey through time, incorporating history, philosophy, religion, drama, photography and cinematography. Leila uses Art to weave a story of human history, which gives us a key to understand our own stories and those of the world we live in today.
Advanced tickets are required. Members of both the American International and the American Women’s Clubs have an entrance fee of 50CHF. Spouses and non-members are most welcome at a fee of 60CHF. The price includes an apéro riche with an open bar. Sign up at the EventFrog, a separate website we use for on line registration and payment for events. Please follow https://eventfrog.ch/art-lecture-aicz or the QR code below. The deadline for registration is October 2. Please note that the last two lectures were sold out several days in advance of the deadline and with the participation of the American Women’s Club we expect this event to sell out quicker.
